Still Not Sure On What Type Of Winter Service You Need?
Here's 10 Questions You Must Ask Any
Snow Removal Company Before You Them.
1.) How Many Years Have You Been In Business?
With most business failing within the first 5 years, the number of years a company has been in business serves as a good indicator of what type of business you will be dealing with. We’ve been in business for over 11 years.
2.) Are You Insured?
You’re not just looking to see if their truck is insured. You want to make sure that you’re covered if your property get’s damaged in the course of plowing.
Even though we always try to be as careful as possible at every job site “accidents do happen” but that is exactly why any good company should have insurance to protect both you and them selves. If ever there is any accident on your property, we are covered.
3.) Are You A Member Of SIMA?
SIMA is the Snow & Ice Management Association. They are a nonprofit trade association. SIMA helps those who manage snow and ice master essential skills and practices to ensure professionalism and safer communities.
Any company serious about providing the best service possible should be a member of SIMA. We’ve been a member for over 8 years.
4.) Are You A Member Of The (BBB) Better Business Bureau?
It’s absolutely essential to know a companies track record before you do business with them. You can find out if a company is a member of the BBB by visiting www.bbb.org
Bill’s Out Door Care is a Better Business Bureau “Accredited Business”. We have been members since 2000. We are also members of The Canton Chamber of Commerce.
5.) Can You Provide References?
Once again a company’s track record speaks volumes on the type of service they offer. We can provide you with references for many of the properties we service. In fact, the bulk of our new clients come to us as referrals from our satisfied clients.

6.) Who Will Be Plowing My Snow?
Most start up companies find it too costly to keep full time employees on payroll throughout the winter while waiting for snow. Instead, most of them use sub-contractors to service the bulk of their accounts. This may benefit the business owner, but it has a drawback for you.
All sub-contractors have to go on is an address and a map. They show up and plow. Not knowing any of the unique features that your property may have. This is where damage can happen.
We don’t use sub-contractors. All of our employee are full time allowing your property to be serviced by the same driver each snowfall. This minimizes the potential for accidents.
7.) Do You Have An Emergency Back Up Plan?
It goes without saying that during the winter season problems will arise. Something will break on a plow or a truck will have its problems. These are all legit excuses. However; we know it’s the last thing that our customers want to hear. They just want to know when we will be there to plow the snow.
This is why we have a full time mechanic on staff 24/7 and only use the industry’s best equipment.
8.) How Will I Be Billed?
Caution: Many “Fly- By - Night “companies that litter your neighborhood with flyers offering their snow removal specials ($100 for the entire season) Offers like these make it impossible for you to get quality service.
Most quality companies offer 2 types of billing methods
- Per push you pay each time the snow accumulates above 2”
- Season you pay a set price based on the snow fall for the season.
We offer both methods of billing for our customers
9.) Do You Also Salt?
Salting requires a big investment of materials and tools. This is why most companies can only offer salting services for smaller jobs, choosing to sub out salting services for larger jobs. We are well equipped to salt any size property without sub-contracting. We plow & salt all of our own properties.
10.) Are You Happy With Your Current Service?
Stay with them. We understand and encourgae you to keep your current servie if they are meeting your needs. This is how we’ve been able to built our own strong business relationships.
However if you are disappointed with your current service, we highly recommend that you get a free quote from us. To see for yourself why our service far exceeds most other companies.
